Should you make improvements to the property to get it ready to sell?
To answer that question, start by making a list with detailed information about the property.
This list should include any existing repairs needed, as well as any potential repairs or upgrades that may need to be performed in the future.
What amenities does the property have, like a pool, enclosed patio, outdoor BBQ or fireplace?
What the type of heating and cooling systems does the house have?
How close to public transportation and freeways is the house?
Take a few photos and even a video of the property.
This can help you see the property as what potential buyers would see the property.
This may give you a better sense of the property and understanding of what a buyer is potentially buying.
If you are planning to sell your property, you need to see it as a new buyer would see it and not as you see it.
As a homeowner, that may be a hard thing to do.
You may not believe it, but selling property is a skill and getting the best price for your property is one of the reasons why you need a professional to handle the sale.
As a Realtor, my job is not only to get you the best price, it’s also knowing the paperwork needed as well as having good communication with all parties to get the job done to close the sale.
Here is a list of questions you may ask when it comes to selling a property.
What is the condition of the property? 2. How long will it be on the market? 3. What improvements should be made to the property? 4. What are the estimated closing costs? 5. What is title insurance? 6. Are there any liens or assessments that need to be paid off before closing? 7. Are there any special financing options available for a buyer to buy the property? 8. What type of inspection should be conducted? 9. Should you be offering any incentives in order to close the sale? 10. What types of repairs need to be completed prior to closing?
In this article I went over what improvements should be made to the property
In the next few articles, I will go over these other questions in more detail.
